Crysis Overview
Crysis is a next-generation first-person shooter being produced by CryTek. CryTek are the same folks who brought gamers the phenomonal Far Cry. Crysis will utilize the new CryENGINE 2 technology and promises to look beautiful. Crysis is also one of the first announced games set to run on DirectX 10 so without a doubt it will please the eyes.
The Fairy Tale
The story behind Crysis takes place roughly a little over ten years in the future; in the year 2019. After a monster of an asteroid collides into the Earth, America and North Korea square off in an intense military standoff situation for control of the area of the impact. This is the happy part, though. As the conflict is heating to a boiling point the asteroid busts open revealing an alien ship that begins freezing the surrounding island area and causing changes to the global weather system. This marks the beginning of the invasion of Earth and the epic three-part story of alien invasion.
